Welcome To Masjid Al-Ansar!
Masjid Al-Ansar is a centre for Islamic education, spiritual growth, and community engagement in Edmonton. Our programs are rooted in the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, offering opportunities for Muslims of all ages to deepen their faith and knowledge.
Our Mission:At Masjid Al-Ansar, we aim to provide a welcoming and educational environment where Muslims can grow spiritually, academically, and socially. Our mission is to guide our community in following the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, fostering unity, compassion, and understanding.
Our History
Babulrayan Community Service began in 2012 as a small, home-based afterschool Quran school, focused on providing local Muslim children with education based on the Quran and Sunnah. As the demand for Islamic education grew, the community officially incorporated in January 2015 and established Al-Ansar Musallah in downtown Edmonton.
In February 2024, with the generous support of our growing community, we purchased a larger centre at 11210 120 St NW, Edmonton for $2.25 million. This new facility will serve as the grand Masjid Al-Ansar and a central hub for Islamic learning and community engagement. So far, $1.55 million of the total has been paid off, with the remaining $700,000 to be raised through community support, in sha Allah.
Our History
Masjid Al-Ansar is more than a place for prayer; it’s a community space dedicated to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. We provide a wide range of educational programs, including Quran, Aqeedah, Fiqh, Hadith, and Arabic lessons, along with dawah initiatives to spread the message of Islam. In addition, we host Islamic conferences and seminars, offering valuable knowledge and guidance to Muslims of all ages.
Our vision is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Muslims, helping them strengthen their connection to their faith while engaging with the broader Edmonton community. We remain dedicated to upholding the principles of the Quran and Sunnah as we grow, aiming to make Masjid Al-Ansar a beacon of Islamic knowledge and support for all.
Our Activities
Qur’an and Sunnah-Based Education
Our educational programs are designed around the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, ensuring that every student receives authentic and comprehensive Islamic knowledge. We offer an after-school program focused on Qur’anic recitation, memorization, and the practical application of Islamic principles in daily life.Our aim is to embad the Quran behaviours to the new qenerations and pass this resposibilities to them as they will be the leaders of the future, as we working to develop our tools

For adults, Masjid Al-Ansar offers a wide range of Islamic learning opportunities, including Tafseer (Qur’anic interpretation), Hadith studies, and practical lessons from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
